Example: the 7 times table
To get the 7 times table from 1 to 12, enter 7 as the number, keep From at1 and To at 12, then generate. Or select 7 under Quick times tables.
Each answer is 7 more than the one before. The last digits run 7, 4, 1, 8, 5, 2, 9, 6, 3, 0, so every digit appears once before the pattern repeats at 7 × 11 = 77.
7 × 8 = 56 is the fact people most often forget. One way to remember it: 5, 6, 7, 8, so 56 = 7 × 8.

What is a times table?
A times table, or multiplication table, lists the results of multiplying one number by a run of whole numbers. The 12 times table goes from 12 × 1 = 12 to 12 × 12 = 144. Every answer is a multiple of 12 and is 12 more than the last, because multiplication is repeated addition: 12 × 3 is 12 + 12 + 12.
Schools usually focus on the tables from 1 to 12, since knowing those facts by heart speeds up mental arithmetic, fractions and long multiplication. The order of the numbers doesn’t matter (7 × 8 = 8 × 7), so each new table has fewer new facts than it seems: by the 9 times table, you already know 9 × 1 to 9 × 8 from the earlier tables.

Can I print the generated table?
Yes. Select Print and only the table’s title, range and rows are printed, in black on white. Long tables are set in columns and fit A4 and US Letter paper.
Can I use negative numbers?
Yes. Both the number and the multipliers can be negative, for example −4 × 3 = −12 and −4 × (−3) = 12. A negative times a positive is negative, and two negatives make a positive.
Can I share or bookmark a table?
